so the traditional translation says that the beginning date of The Mayan Long Count is August 13, 3114

It's also been written by some that the begin date was August 11, 3113

remember that The Long Count is dated to 'end' December 21, 2012 and that date is 5125 years in the Mayan Cycle... so take that year number

because it's the year of our independence and

believe it or not, 1776 is also Mayan and has to do with this year of 2012, Winter Solstice as well as next year.

Sun Unleashes Huge Solar Flare

The eruption is a so-called X-flare, the strongest type; such flares can affect communications on Earth.

Nasa’s Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO) spacecraft recorded an intense flash of extreme ultraviolet radiation emanating from a sunspot.

The British Geological Survey (BGS) has issued a geomagnetic storm warning, and says observers might be able to see aurorae from the northern UK.

The eruptions are expected to hit the Earth’s magnetic field field over the next couple of days, causing an increase in geomagnetic activity.

The monster flare was recorded at 0156 GMT on 15 February and directed at the Earth. According to the US space agency, the source of this activity – sunspot 1158 – is growing rapidly.

Solar flares are caused by the sudden release of magnetic energy stored in the Sun’s atmosphere….

It's an important number to know.

The Times

In the year 2012, we will be having the 30th XXX Olympics, to be held in London, England that year. In addition, 2012 is a leap year containing 366 days, a presidential election year, and last but not least, the 'end' of the Mayan calendar. This made me realize that we are currently in the leap year of 2008, another 366 day year, a presidential election year and the 29th Olympics, held in Beijing this time.

Could you have guessed... there are 1980 'minutes' in 33 hours. 1980 would be the year that the Georgia Guidestones were dedicated and again as yet another coincidence, 1980 plus 33 more years, would put us into the year 2013. The year after the Mayan calendar is supposed to reach it's 'end' date.

If you 'stack and add' 20 and 13 which are also the two numbers that make up the Tzolkin 260 Sacred Mayan calendar as 20x13 = 260, then you also get those 33s.
